Indian Navy – Karwar naval base getting ready to float
Times of India – Even as Pakistan gets ready to inaugurate its spanking new Gwadar deep-sea port, built with Chinese help in Baluchistan, India’s plans to gain “strategic depth” are also taking concrete shape now after a long delay. The futuristic Karwar naval base on the western coast will progressively become operational – albeit in a truncated manner – over the next few months.
